LIMEWIRE SHUT DOWN!!!

Limewire.com has been shut down for a week now due to a case they lost at a U.S Federal High Court...Peep How the Guardian U.k reported it...

LimeWire, one of the world's most popular peer-to-peer filesharing websites, has been shut down after a four-year legal battle with the US music industry.

A federal court in New York issued a "permanent injunction" against LimeWire late on Tuesday, ruling that the platform intentionally caused a "massive scale of infringement" by permitting the sharing of thousands of copyrighted works by its 50 million monthly users.

Founded in 2000 by Mark Gorton, a former Wall Street trader, LimeWireis now restricted from allowing the searching and sharing of copyrighted material. The website will continue "working with the music industry to move forward", a LimeWire spokeswoman confirmed.

The Executives at the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has Unveiled a new Model for Music Distribution in the Country in an effort to Break free from Alaba Marketers and Its Pirates..

They are said to have reached a Distribution deal with NIPOST who has branch offices all over the nook and cranny of Nigeria, The Model is also said to be supported by World Bank and a lot of partners.

CELINE DION NAMES HER TWINS EDDY AND NELSON.

It took several days, but Céline Dion and her husband René Angélil have finally named their twin sons. 

The name "Eddy" comes from Eddy Marnay, who produced the singer's first five records. "He was like a father to her," says Dion's rep. "Eddy is a major influence in both Céline and René's lives." 

Nelson is named after Nelson Mandela, whom Dion met two years ago while kicking off her world tour in South Africa. "René said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is," says the rep.

"Céline and René want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men," the rep adds.

WOMAN DELIVERS SNAKE!!!!

It sure sounds unbelievable, but a young woman has been delivered of a snake in Umuahia. The woman delivered the scary reptile on Wednesday following hours of intense prayers at the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, along Eze Ogbulafor Street, Umuahia, Abia State.

Chairman of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) in Abia state, Apostle Emmanuel Agomoh, who is also the head of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim in the state said a priest, Apostle Uche Ugwu had engaged himself in hours of prayers to cause the delivery of the snake from the private part of the 35-year-old lady whose names are being withheld.

The snake, said to have been programmed into the woman’s womb since her secondary school days, was headless and tailless.
The incident, which has become the talk of the town, happened around 5p.m. on Wednesday at the church premises.

Kanye says Watch The Throne with Jay-Z will no longer be an EP, but a full length album

With so much anticipation surrounding Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, there isn't as much hype as you'd expect for a Jay-Z and Kanye project. That will likely change in time, especially now that the proposed five song EP is going to be a full length album.

"We putting out a whole album now," Kanye told MTV when asked about Watch The Throne. "We had done five [songs] so far, and then a few of ‘em, kind of, were out there, and I put them on my album. Sorry Jay. But we got some more, and we going to the south of France at the end of this month just to record new ideas.”

Watch The Throne is currently slated for a December 7 release, which may be in jeopardy now that they will record more songs. Jay-Z, with Kanye's help, famously completed The Blueprint in just two weeks.

British comedian Russell Brand and pop singer Katy Perry said their ``I do's'' Saturday night in a closely guarded ceremony at a resort in northern India.

Sex sells and the domain name Sex.com is the world's most valued web address, selling most recently for $13 million.

In court papers filed this week, its bankrupt owner, Escom LLC., named Clover Holdings Ltd as the successful bidder for the domain name. Escom reportedly bought the domain name for $14 million in 2006.

The deal will go before a bankruptcy judge for approval on October 27. A representative at domain name marketplace Sedo.com said the sex.com domain name was the most expensive ever sold.

"It still holds the record for being the most valued domain name," said a Sedo.com spokesman said Friday.

The auctions of simple domain names are seen as rare opportunities for Internet entrepreneurs. An auction for the www.pizza.com domain name in 2008 attracted bids above $2.5 million.
