The Entirety of the Lagos state Capital was thrown into panic yesterday, Wednesday September 7th 2011 after a staff of the Ikeja Local Government area discovered what was suspected to be a bomb in one of its air conditioners...Fellow workers and visitors dashed for safety , some of the abandoning thier cars.
Reports say the explosive device was planted and connected to the air conditioner with the motive to explode as soon a s the air conditioner is switched on.
The Lagos state Police commissioner immediately drafted its bomb experts to the scene, who immediately cleared and secured the area and have taken the device for investigation....Early reports from the investigation claims that the device might not have been an explosive and was more likely a hoax.
Investigation is still ongoing.
